Theory:(Classroom environment, normally held in a training/meeting room)

* Fire Law (in brief)

* Chemistry of Fire

* The Threat of Fire

* Fire Action Routines

* Fire Behaviour

* Fire Extinguisher (Types / Classifications / Colour Coding Standards / Correct Application / Capabilities & Limitations)

Practical:(Conducted outside area of 6 parking spaces required)

* Health & Safety Briefing

* Fire Action Routines

* Use of Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers on a computer fire

* Use of Water Extinguisher on a waste bin fire

* Demonstration of a Fire Blanket on a microwave or chip pan or  fire

* Demonstration of Foam Fire Extinguisher on a liquid fire

* Demonstration of Powder Fire Extinguisher (if location permits)

Theory:(Classroom environment, normally held in a training/meeting room)

* Introduction to Fire Warden Responsibilities

* Assessing Fire Risks

* FPA (DVD) ‘The Role of a Fire Warden’

* Taking the appropriate action in the Event of a Fire

* Spotting and Reporting Hazards

* First Aid Fire Fighting

* Ensuring Full and Safe Evacuation

* Q&A + Assessments – constant throughout both theory and practical elements of the course
