The Entry Into Confined Spaces With Escape Breathing Apparatus training programme is designed for Managers, Supervisors and any Operatives who may be required to make an emergency evacuation from a confined space using escape breathing apparatus
This course complies to the Confined Space Regulations 1997.
The aim of this course is to provide delegates with a thorough understanding of confined spaces, approved code of practice (ACOP), all the associated legislation, dangers associated with confined spaces and to assess the risk or necessary or ability to enter, work and leave a confined space safely by horizontal and/or vertical means.
This course can be conducted either on the customers own premises or at one of our many training centres nationwide.
On completion of this course delegates will be able to:
1. Summarise the requirements of the Confined space legislation
2. The associated ACOP
3. Identify a confined space and its reasonable foreseeable risks
4. Select appropriate methods of risk control
5. Select appropriate safety equipment that may be used when entering a confined space and carry out appropriate pre-use checks
6. Conduct an entry into a confined space using escape breathing apparatus and appropriate ancillary safety equipment, in a safe and efficient manner
